Frequently Asked Questions
Who can access your autism assessment services?
We work with both public sector partners (like the NHS and local authorities) and private individuals. Our services are suitable for children, young people, and adults. Whether you're a parent, healthcare professional, or school, you can make a referral or enquiry directly through our website.
Do you work in partnership with the NHS or local authorities?
Yes—we regularly work with NHS services, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), schools, and social care teams. Our assessments help reduce waiting lists and provide a trusted, compliant extension of in-house clinical services.
Are your assessments in Person or Online
We offer a mixture of telephone and face to face appointments in most circumstances. These are arranged at a time that is mutually convenient.
We endeavour to have at least one face to face appointment for every assessment.
What is included in the assessment?
Each assessment is designed around your specific needs, so the individual specialists involved will vary, but each assessment will always include the following:
Assessments by at least 3 autism specialists
An initial consultation of approximately 1 hour with a lead clinician
2 further assessments, conducted by 2 different clinicians
At least one appointment will be face-to-face, lasting a minimum of 1 hour
A comprehensive diagnostic report, with personalised recommendations and strategies
A final consultation, to discuss the outcome of the assessment with the lead clinician
Full details of the process and clinicians involved will be discussed with you prior to any appointment being confirmed.
What happens if autism is not diagnosed?
If autism is not diagnosed, we provide clear explanations and explore alternative pathways. This may include signposting for additional assessments or identifying other neurodevelopmental, emotional, or learning needs that could be impacting daily life.
